William & Dorothy Wordsworth
In 1802, William married a childhood friend, Mary Hutchinson. His sister Dorothy did not appreciate the marriage at first, but lived with the couple and later grew close to Mary. The following year, Mary gave birth to the first of five children.
Two of his children, Thomas and Catherine, died in 1812. The following year, he moved to Rydal Mount, Ambleside where he spent the rest of his life.

Thomas deQuincey
(1785 - 1859)
Author. English critic and essayist. He is best known for his
book "Confessions of an English Opium-Eater". He also
wrote "Murder Considered as one of Fine Arts"
and "On the Knocking at the Gate in Macbeth".
Hartley Coleridge
(1796 - 1849)
English writer, eldest son of the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
